AOS Office // 8,500 SF // Renovation and Expansion

Kent Design Build was selected by AOS to renovate and expand an 8,500-square-foot office space located on the 17th Floor of 400 Poydras Tower in downtown New Orleans, LA. The project included a feature wall in the lobby made with hot-rolled steel sheets, infilling existing gypsum partitions, acoustical baffle ceilings, large-format (24” x 48”) porcelain floor tile, ductwork with pneumatic VAV’s, and new electrical service to the space with LED light fixtures.

The single largest challenge on this project was responding to our client’s request to keep their office and business operational during the construction process. To accomplish this, we used detailed dust control measures, temporary partitions, and a specific sequencing of activities. Much of the sequencing was coordinated and developed very early in the project in preparation for the client’s installation of their DIRTT modular partitions.
