Partnership with Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West was established shortly after Hurricane Katrina. Since its start, the chapter has successfully built nearly 300 homes for people in our local community. Habitat’s mission is to provide opportunities for people to have a decent place to live. People have the ability to enter the program based on 1) their need for housing and 2) their ability to purchase a Habitat house. Through volunteer help and community support, Habitat can provide opportunities for homeownership for those who may not be able to purchase homes on their own.

The Kent Design Build team recently participated in a build day for a family in our Covington community. Our team enjoyed working together to frame the house. Kent has partnered with Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West for many years to help accomplish its mission. For 25 years, it’s been a priority to serve our local community and Habitat provides an outlet for us to do so. We’re thankful for our partnership with Habitat and look forward to the years ahead.
