The Bayou Church Redesigned

We are thrilled to announce the completion of The Bayou Church project in Lafayette, Louisiana. We’re excited to take you on a virtual tour with Pastor Sean Walker to showcase the redesign of the entire campus.

We collaborated with Pastor Sean Walker and The Bayou Church from the beginning, allowing us to envision a future that met their ministry needs. Conversations about the church's vision led to our first action item: creating a new, prominent main entrance. Upon entering the church, you’re greeted by a redesigned lobby with a 360-degree view, providing transparency and openness. The First Steps classroom, once tucked away, is now visible, fostering a more connected community feel.

In 2020, Hurricane Delta destroyed half of the campus, including an auditorium. The redesign introduced a multi-purpose auditorium for gatherings and disaster relief, showcasing resilience and adaptability.

The “Bayou Beanery", a spacious and accessible coffee shop, offers a new and welcoming space for fellowship. Adjacent is a new patio, extending the gathering space for continued community connections.

A centralized sign-in location was added in the redesign that easily centers the children’s classrooms. A dedicated children's worship space and refurbished classrooms seamlessly blend the old and new campus, creating a unified environment.

As Kent Design Build, we are immensely grateful to have embarked on this transformative journey with the Bayou Church.
