S&W Foods New Office Renovation // 9,000 SF // Complete Renovation
This project consisted of a 9,000 square foot renovation and expansion of an existing office space within a warehouse building. The existing office space was fully gutted and expanded into the existing warehouse space as a metal framing and structo-crete over floor joist, 2 story structure. Our team worked with Greenleaf Architects to deliver a Design Build project to the client that met their anticipated opening date. With the structure being within an unconditioned warehouse space, special considerations were taken into account for the exterior walls of the office space, separating it from the warehouse by using R19 Kraft Faced Insulation. A new 2 stop elevator was installed wrapped by a new main stair. The “roof” of the new portion of the office space was wrapped with vapor barrier to ensure the envelope was fully enclosed. Exterior improvements included a new ADA ramp, customer service stair entrance, loading ramp, repainting the exterior metal panels, and a new stacked stone wainscot façade.
While this project was coordinated with the owner during the design phase, some changes were made throughout the course of construction that were better suited to their operations needs. We relied heavily on owner feedback to complete this project successfully. Power and data needs were extensively discussed and coordinated with furniture provided by Kent Interiors.
