American Factory Direct Covington // 37,000 SqFt // Ground Up Furniture Store and Showroom

A ground-up 37,000 SF pre-engineered building by Butler Manufacturing includes 30,000 SF of furniture and mattress showroom, 2,000 SF of office space, and 5,000 SF of warehouse for a repeat client. This is the third showroom we have built for this repeat client. Through our design-build services with Crump Wilson Architects, we were able to fast-track delivery of the project in a five-month duration allowing the client to meet their anticipated opening date for maximum revenue opportunities. The pre-engineered building structure was ordered eight weeks prior to the commencement of construction to ensure the expedited delivery date and included an MR-24 standing seam roofing system, Butler Rib metal wall panels, façade consisting of a combination of stucco, aluminum storefront system, and stone veneer, painted exposed decking, ductless HVAC system, and stained concrete floors. On this project, we learned the importance of coordinating the final furniture/fixture plan for a furniture showroom to expedite the project’s schedule. This plan is critical in confirming the locations of electrical floor boxes prior to the slab on grade being placed, location of lighting fixtures prior to overhead rough ins, and location of different floor finishes across furniture settings.
